One of the newest additions to Puerto Vallarta’s gay hotel scene, Tryst opened in 2024 and has already made a name for itself as both a luxury stay and a nightlife destination.

Zona Romántica, in particular, is a haven for the gay community, offering gay bars, nightclubs, and welcoming accommodations. Super friendly attentive staff, luxurious accommodation and beautifully manicured grounds. Some properties have a broad selection of food and beverage outlets, and guests staying for a few days may not eat at the same place twice.

Hotels in and around Puerto Vallarta range from 5-star luxury to well-located 3-stars.

Clean, modern and the location was excellent for what we were needing. The hotel offers a curated selection of activities, 24-hour room service, and ocean-view suites.

Service and amenities were exceptional. Flamingo: A casual open-air bar perfect for dancing and socializing.

Pro Tip: Most clubs don’t get busy until after 10 PM, so plan your night accordingly!

Villa David is Puerto Vallarta’s longest-operating gay Bed and Breakfast operating since 1988, and it is one of the top gay-friendly hotels in Puerto Vallarta!

This gorgeous hacienda-style mansion features several rooms with daily maid service, AC, Flat-screen TV, WiFi, a safe, beach towels, and an extended continental breakfast.

They also have a masseuse who will come to your room for a deep tissue or relaxing massage.

Other amenities at Villa David include a beautiful heated outdoor clothing-optional pool surrounded by lush plants, an open-concept living room and dining room, and a rooftop deck with lounge chairs and a hot tub.

This B&B is in the historic center of Puerto Vallarta, with sweeping views of downtown and the Bay of Banderas.

You’ll be about 10 minutes from Zona Romantica, within easy walking distance of all gay attractions. 

Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel

While not an exclusively gay hotel, Villa Premiere is one of Puerto Vallarta’s most romantic adults-only boutique resorts and has a well-earned reputation for being very LGBTQ+ friendly.

Just a short walk from the Malecón and a quick ride to Zona Romántica, it’s perfect if you want to enjoy the gay nightlife but retreat to a quieter, more upscale setting at the end of the night.

This place was beyond nice!

The hotel has 3 outdoor pools, is in a private setting, and has a rooftop restaurant that serves fine dining with a live band on selected nights as well as a cantina for hotel guests and restaurant refreshments. While most establishments in tourist areas accept credit cards, smaller businesses, beach vendors, and taxis often only accept pesos.

• Some places accept USD, but the exchange rate is usually poor, so pesos are preferred.

While not an exclusively gay property, Crown Paradise Golden is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort that has become a favorite among LGBTQ+ travelers who want the full resort experience at a more affordable price point.

Staff at all the restaurants were amazing. Staff are known for being welcoming and inclusive, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a comfortable choice for same-sex couples or groups of friends.

If you’re looking for value and convenience, Crown Paradise Golden gives you plenty of amenities without the higher price tag of boutique gay resorts in the Romantic Zone.
