Well, it’s no secret that Trudeau was in a long relationship with his ex-wife Sophie Grégoire.
Diplo really sent everyone watching the Smart Girl Dumb Questions podcast into a shock when he “revealed” that he had previously dated Justin Trudeau. As per Elle, the two were linked together in April 2014 after getting spotted at Coachella together.
Trudeau may be the first prime minister to visit a gay bar, but this is not his first display of support for the LGBTQ community.
In 2016, he became the first Canadian prime minister to march in a pride parade.
While it may seem like an innocent father-son moment, you may remember Perry’s 2015 Super Bowl halftime performance, where she danced with two “sharks” in a similar costume.

“Every morning I’ve woken up as prime minister, I’ve been inspired by the resilience, the generosity, and the determination of Canadians,” he said.
In 2017, the Trudeau government put aside more than $100 million to compensate people whose military or federal careers were ended due to their sexual orientation, CBC reports.
Shortly after, Trudeau made a historic, sweeping apology to the victims of Canada's past anti-LGBTQ policies.

Another source told the outlet that their relationship is “fairly serious and definitely moving in that direction.” They added, “They are very much a couple and have been seeing each other as often as possible.”
While neither Trudeau nor Perry has officially made any comments about their romance, his Halloween costume seems like a deliberate move towards confirming their relationship.
Taking to Instagram, Trudeau uploaded a photo of himself dressed in a shark costume as his son, Hadrien, stands beside him.
The prime minister met with bar patrons and posed for their photos. In fact, it may not be obvious, but Diplo was only joking during the interview.
A fan commented asking, “Did Diplo really date with Trudeau!“, and the host was quick to put the fire out by replying, “lol!! He wrote, “Ready for Halloween with Hadrien: he’s the surfer, I’m the shark (to his left)…”
Specially pointing out that he’s the shark on the left, while there are no other sharks in the photo, has left us convinced that this was an ode to Perry’s iconic performance!
