Ay Que Chula is a go-to for brunch plus shows in the gay district. Feel the generations of 210 queer love at OG spots like Bonham Exchange and Pegasus, or meet new queer space friends at places like Ay Que Chula. Sparky’s Pub works for strong drinks, a patio, and a mixed crowd. Most visitors base themselves downtown and use rideshares at night.

These establishments run the gamut from patisserie to pool hall, from country bar to cocktail lounge, and from gourmet gastronomy to go-go dancing.

Just like every color of the rainbow, there are just as many ways to celebrate the community, and a wide array of places to do it.

San Antonio works well for an LGBTQ+ weekend because you can mix classic sightseeing with easy nightlife.

For venues, start with Bonham Exchange for a classic multi-floor club night with DJs and regular drag. If you want country and Tejano with karaoke and drag, hit The SA Country Saloon. Hit us up!

Did we miss your fave queer spot?Let us know!

Though many of San Antonio’s gay bars are on the Main Strip, now a designated Pride Cultural Heritage District, the city’s vibrant queer community has options far behind the confines of its rainbow crosswalks.

And we’re not just limiting it to bars, either.

If weekly drink specials and fabulous parties aren't enough to pull you in, the food will keep you coming back for more, with a full brunch and dinner menu that'll satisfy any craving.
