We accompany them on their first few dates and learn about how they started falling in love. Ciela is also a pastelería witch — she can sense exactly which dessert a customer wants, magic she's inherited from her grandmother — but after the assault, her magic leaves her. Is it worth seeing so much success if they can never enjoy that success as their true selves?

As some gaps widen and others close altogether, Ruben and Zach find themselves falling head over heels for one another, and the only question left is one that neither of them wants to ask.

After all, all it has done is push him around and make him feel inadequate at even the most basic tasks. I was delighted to find out that there was still so much growth in store for Oliver and Luc. This Spanish-translated book tells the story of a young person as they navigate both their place in the world and their gender identity through the decades.

Bonus points for the fact that Rachael Lippincott and Alyson Derrick are hilariously cute on TikTok. Released in 2010 amongst the first true waves of queer YA fiction taking hold and gaining popularity, the book follows the tale of two very different Will Grayson and their fateful meeting one cold night on the streets of Chicago.

What follows from there is the close, inseparable intertwining of the two’s lives and a deep exploration of both of their lives.

That’s up for the twins to decide and fate to drive home.

When the rivalry heats up, so does the tension between the two Love Interests, and they end up falling closer to each other than they are truly comfortable with. Keep in mind that these are simply my opinions, and as a result of that these books tend to skew towards queer women and nonbinary people, given that these are the people I identify with most strongly.
